Our Services

Below are just a few of the scaffolding services we offer for big or small projects:

A sample of scaffolding services we provide:

Construction projects

If you have a new build construction project that requires scaffolders to provide access to get your plans off the ground then get in touch with us! Our firm has teams of qualified scaffolders that have a wealth of experience when it comes to new build housing estates, extensions, or progressive platforms for brickies and any other kind of construction job you may have.

Staging

Do you have a music festival or a large outdoor event that requires staging? Our firm specialises in the construction of staging, and have erected staging for sporting events, music festivals, open air cinemas, marathons, and horse racing events many times in the past. We will put up and dismantle a safe staging structure using beams, tube, and boards at very reasonable and competitive prices.

Temporary roofs

A temporary roof is a large frame type structure that our scaffold company usually puts up over the top of and around buildings that require protection from the elements. Prices differ depending on the size of the area that requires covering. If you are re-roofing your property or building an extension and you need to keep out the weather, then a temporary roof could be what you need.

Chimney platforms

Do you need an access platform to investigate issues with your chimney? Or maybe you require our professional scaffolders to put up a saddle structure around your chimney for repair works? Whatever your needs our scaffolding firm will find the best and safest solution.

Access over a conservatory

If you need to access an area that is above a conservatory, then our scaffolders can provide platforms that beam up and over your conservatory without touching it and provide you with a safe working area to complete your job safely.

Some common questions we are occasionally asked.

What is scaffolding?

Scaffolding is a temporary structure built from timber scaffold boards and steel tubes and fittings, providing a safe working platform for workers at height.

The longevity of scaffolding in the UK hinges on safety. There are no time limits; if the scaffold consistently meets safety standards and has regular inspections, it can stay up for prolonged durations from months to years.

Any scaffold structure erected on a public pathway or highway requires a pavement permit. We will handle the licence application process with the local council for you.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer. It is best to consider your project’s circumstances and requirements to make the best financial decision. However, should you buy the equipment, you must have a qualified scaffolder to erect your scaffold, so on most occasions, it is preferable to hire a scaffolding contractor to supply, erect, and dismantle it. Buying can occasionally become more economical if you consistently need scaffolding, as the initial investment can pay off.

When a chimney stack demands significant repair or reconstruction, scaffolding is indispensable. However, for less extensive tasks, such as minor repairs or inspections, alternative equipment like roof ladders can provide adequate access. However, it all depends on where and how high your chimney is located on a property, although in most circumstances, scaffolding is essential for safety reasons.

Some scaffolding companies do not offer this type of service, but WE DO, so if you find you need assistance with an urgent scaffold or require access in a hurry, then scaffolding Surrey do provide a superfast emergency service locally.

Whether you require scaffolds for a building that has become unsafe due to bad weather or an accident, or maybe you are on a tight schedule and need a company to erect a platform the very same or next day? Whatever your access needs our scaffolders are here to help find a quick and safe solution for you.

Our established company has specific details that we require to enable us to provide you with an accurate quotation, and these are as follows:

  • Contact details (name and number).
  • Property address.
  • Property type (terraced, semi, detached etc)?
  • How many storeys is the building (2 storeys, 3 storeys etc)?
  • How many sides require a scaffold to be erected?
  • How long will you require the scaffold platforms to stay up to complete your project?
  • When will you require the scaffolds to go up?
  • Images of the areas that need scaffolding, if possible, as this can help speed up the quotation process.
  • Can we access the area easily with our trucks?

If you could please have all this information ready when you contact us, we will be able to provide you with a scaffolding Surrey quotation ASAP. However, please bear in mind that not all scaffolds can be priced over the telephone.

Yes, as part of our quotation process, we do offer a free site visit, and this is because larger or more complex scaffolds will require us to take measurements and view that area in person to ensure we are providing you with the most accurate price. Not all scaffold hire jobs need a site visit, but if you do, one of our Surrey scaffolding team will arrange a time and day convenient to you to visit your site.

*Please note that our scaffolding erectors will never just turn up unannounced unless otherwise agreed*

We offer as standard a 4-week hire period for all types of scaffolds, however if you require a longer period then scaffolding Surrey are more than happy to negotiate this with you.

The standard height of a scaffold lift is around 2 meters, which is designed to give workers sufficient vertical clearance for safe and efficient operation.

Can scaffolding block windows?

Yes, unfortunately, as scaffolding is erected around a building, its framework of poles and planks can sometimes create a temporary barrier that can obscure windows; this is due to how scaffolds are erected, the lift heights, and ensuring structural integrity. Most professional scaffolding erectors will try to avoid this where possible, but on occasion, it is unavoidable. However, scaffolds should never block fire escapes or exits.

It is always polite and good practice to inform your neighbour when you are having a scaffold erected should any part of the structure overhang or have to be placed in their garden. However, they do have the right to refuse this to happen.

The scope and nature of the roofing work heavily influence whether scaffolding will be required. For extensive roofing undertakings, including full replacements and significant repairs, scaffolding is generally needed to create a secure and stable working platform for personnel and materials to ensure safety when working at height. However, straightforward roof repairs, such as the replacement of a handful of tiles or the patching of small leaks, ladders or alternative access methods, might be sufficient.

Yes, full ladder access to a scaffold is included as standard; our Scaffolding Surrey team will install a ladder to access every boarded platform safely.

Unfortunately, for smaller jobs, our prices are not based on the duration for which you require the scaffold; we usually price jobs based on the materials used, labour time, access, and size of the structure itself. So, it does not matter if the scaffolding is required for one day or four weeks; the price will remain the same, which gives customers flexibility should your scaffolding Surrey project overrun by a few days.

We will always strive to be competitive with our quotations. If you provide us with the details of the other quote, we’ll review it and see if we can match or even beat it.

We offer all customers free, no-obligation quotations as standard.

Yes, we can erect scaffolding on listed properties, but it requires specialised knowledge and adherence to strict regulations. Careful scaffolding placement is essential to safeguard the building’s historic materials, and our team are experts in this type of work.

We are covered by £10 million in public and employee liability insurance, providing comprehensive protection.

Unfortunately, we do not offer this type of service. Due to critical health and safety requirements, scaffolding construction and dismantling must be carried out by fully qualified scaffold erectors who possess the appropriate training, certifications, and practical experience to build safe structures.

We have extensive experience erecting working platforms in front of high street stores. Please note, though, that we must obtain a pavement license before any construction in a public area.

Our prices are always competitive; however, we may be able to offer discounts depending on the scope and duration of the project. Please get in touch with us to discuss obtaining a quotation.
