New-build progressive scaffolding.

A scaffolding quote was required for two progressive new builds on a site in Horley. The project required suitable access for the construction work, with our new-build scaffolding service providing progressive access as each property was built. Each plot was roughly the same size, so we quoted £3,000 for both structures, including a six-week rental period.
We faced no issues with either scaffold. They were to be erected on private land, so no pavement licence was needed, and site access was easy. However, we did need to take a little extra care when erecting scaffolding near the neighbouring properties.
This was a fairly small site with two dwellings being built; both plots were the same length and width, except for one side. Our scaffolding structures measured the following:
We erected scaffold to the rear and front, which was approximately 14m long and 6 scaffold boards wide. We then provided 10m of access down the left and right-hand sides, which was only 3 scaffolding boards wide.
Scaffold to the front and rear was again 14m by 6 boards wide, the same as Plot 1. Both sides of this plot were 10m long, but the left-hand side scaffolding was only 2 boards wide, while the right-hand side was 3 boards wide.
Both plots had an instep at the front that was approximately 8m long, so we added 4 boards. We also erected a heavy-duty loading bay, 4m wide by 1.5m long. All lifts were fully brick-guarded, and netting was installed on lifts adjacent to neighbouring properties to ensure no debris damaged their properties.
We were required to provide infill boards, cut to size, to fill the gaps between the crash deck and the scaffolding where the window and door lintels had not yet been installed. Each working platform was double handrailed and had toe boards around the perimeter of the framework.
In our quotation, we gave the customer a 6-week hire period for each scaffolding.
